The business directory searched by name
The search runs across the SIEM directory (Sistema de Información Empresarial Mexicano) as a partial, case-insensitive name match: typing OXXO returns every branch registered under that name. Each result carries the commercial name, the chamber that enrolled the establishment, the state with its INEGI code, and the id you use to open its full record, where the RFC, address, contact, headcount and foreign-trade profile live. The state and SCIAN activity filters exist to cut long lists down: a national chain can have hundreds of branches enrolled. Bear in mind that enrollment is voluntary, so this directory is good for locating and contacting establishments, not for concluding that a company does not exist because it is not listed.

- 01How should I type the name?
- A fragment is enough: the search matches partially and ignores case. Two characters minimum. The more specific the name, the less noise in the list.
- 02Which code goes in the state filter?
- The INEGI state code, 1 through 32 (for example, 21 for Puebla). Leave it at 0 to search the whole country.
- 03Why can I not find a company I know exists?
- Because enrollment in SIEM is voluntary: not every company signs up, and those that do register under the name they chose, which is not always the one the brand uses. Try a variant of the name, or the legal name.
- 04Is it free? Are there any limits?
- Yes, it is free and needs no account. There is only a cap on lookups per hour from the same connection and results come paged. For bulk searches or portfolio matching, use the Croma API.
