SOAT lookupDoes this plate have valid SOAT?
Enter a Peruvian plate and see its SOAT in APESEG: whether it is valid today, which insurer issued it, how long it covers and every earlier certificate. Free, no signup.
The SOAT certificate behind the plate
The lookup returns the SOAT certificates that insurance companies record with APESEG (Asociación Peruana de Empresas de Seguros) for that plate: the issuing insurer, the status (VIGENTE, VENCIDO or ANULADO), the coverage start and end dates, the policy number, the certificate type, the date it was issued and the annulment date where there is one, plus the vehicle's class, use, make and model. This is the certificate view: it tells you whether the plate is covered today, which company to call after a crash, and whether the vehicle named on the certificate is the one in front of you. Claims history is not here: SBS reports that side, in its own tool.

Common questions
- 01Where does this information come from?
- From APESEG (Asociación Peruana de Empresas de Seguros), where insurance companies record the SOAT certificates they issue. Croma queries that source in real time and returns it structured, free and with no account. There is only a cap on lookups per hour from the same connection.
- 02How is this different from the SBS report?
- In what each one answers. APESEG answers for the certificate: who issued it, the period it covers and which vehicle it names, including make, model and certificate type. SBS answers for claims: how many accidents SOAT covered in the last five years and which policies were annulled or corrected. If you are buying a used vehicle, check both.
- 03Can I show this at a police checkpoint?
- No. This is an informational lookup. What you present at a checkpoint is the SOAT certificate your insurer issued, on paper or electronic. If the plate shows as valid here but you do not have the certificate, ask the company named in the result for a copy.
- 04Why does the plate I entered not show up?
- Because no certificate is recorded for that number. Enter the full plate, with or without the hyphen (ABC123 or ABC-123). A vehicle bought very recently, or one whose SOAT was issued days ago, can take time to appear.
