01Where does this information come from?
From SECOP II, Colombia's public procurement system run by Colombia Compra Eficiente. It is open transparency data: Croma queries that source and returns the process as one structured record.
02Where do I find the process code?
It is the identifier starting with CO1.NTC. followed by digits, shown on the process page in SECOP II. Copy it in full, with the dots and in uppercase. If you do not have it, list the contracting entity's processes by NIT first.
03Is it free? Are there any limits?
Yes, it is free and needs no account. One process per lookup, with a cap on lookups per hour from the same connection. The lists return up to 500 awards and up to 1,000 contracts: if the process has more, we flag the result as incomplete.
04Why does the process come back empty or unawarded?
The code may be incomplete or mistyped, so check it character by character. It also happens when the process is still in a phase before award, when it was declared void or revoked, or when the entity has not published the resulting contracts yet.
